Deux-Montagnes is a municipality in southwestern Quebec, Canada where the Rivière des Mille Ãles flows out of Lac des Deux Montagnes (Lake of Two Mountains).<br><br> It is the seat of the Regional County Municipality of Deux-Montagnes in the greater Montreal region. The name "Deux-Montagnes" dates to 1674 when it was given to the lake that stands in front of Deux-Montagnes, and to the seigneury which stood north of the lake. Originally known as "Saint-Eustache-sur-le-Lac" when it was founded in 1921, it changed its name to Deux-Montagnes in 1963.
