Why does it say "this email is already taken" when I try to change my email address?
If you try to change your email address in your profile at MyHeritage.com and you get the error message “This email address is already taken” it means the email address you entered is already registered at MyHeritage.com under a different account. Email addresses can only be used to create one account.
In order to free up the email address for use, you will need to delete the account associated with it.
Write to support@myheritage.com to have your account deleted. After the account is deleted you can return to your original account and change your email address without a problem.
