Is Family Tree Builder free?

Family tree Builder is a free program that can be downloaded from our website.

There are added features in Family Tree Builder that are only available for Premium users. Premium users are users that have upgraded a family site.

These added features include: Smart Research, Smart Match Merge, All-in-one chart, Publishing of videos, audios and documents.

If you are a premium user, you will see that the title of the Family Tree Builder window will say “Family Tree Builder Premium”.

If you are not a premium user, FTB will open without the Premium in the title and without access to the features described above.
